Marriott completes Stanton South Beach refit

22.01.2014

The Marriott Stanton South Beach has completed a six-month, $10 million renovation.

Formerly known as the South Beach Marriott until a name change last year, the beachfront hotel is located in the South of Fifth district on tony Ocean Drive. All of the guest rooms and suites as well as lobby corridors and the Concierge Lounge have been renovated.

“We’ve invested in making this hotel a place for next generation travelers to enjoy a truly stylish South Beach experience,” said General Manager David Cronin.

The Marriott Stanton South Beach name comes from the original name of the adjoining two-story building that includes a Starbucks.

“We’re leading the charge in the evolution of the Marriott brand, so with our fresh look and repositioning efforts going into 2014, we think a name change is the perfect opportunity to show guests that this is an entirely new property,” said Cronin.

The 234-room hotel is currently offering the Life’s a Beach package, which includes accommodations in a newly redesigned room; two drinks on the beach, at the pool or on the Deco Blue terrace; beach chairs and umbrella rentals for two; and free Wi-Fi. Rates are from $309 to $599 and are valid through March 31.
